Do you think not being able to speak Chinese is a massive issue for setting up a Tmall store and, if so, any solutions to get around it?
Hi William, thanks for your question.
It’s important to know the Chinese language to run the store yourself as the interface is in Chinese and also you’ll need to present all the product and marketing information in Chinese.
Setting up a Tmall store is a huge task. In fact, Alibaba recommended merchants to work with a Tmall partner to run and market the store.
Also, it’s important to note that Tmall and Tmall Global are by invitation only so you might need a Tmall partner to help you prepare a proposal in order to get accepted by the platforms anyway.
